On the evening of March 14, Hai Phong City Police said: At 11:00 a.m. the same day, the Patrol Team controlling the May Chi Waterway Police Station - Traffic Police Department of Hai Phong City Police while on duty in the Cam River area (through Thuong Ly Ward, Hong Bang District, Hai Phong) discovered a man floating in the rushing water.
Immediately, the patrol force coordinated with the Rivers and Bay Border Guard Station (Hai Phong Port Border Guard) to deploy rescue vehicles to bring the victim safely to shore. The victim was identified as Mr. N.T.H, born in 1950, residing in Thuong Ly ward, Hong Bang district, Hai Phong. Mr. N.T.H was urgently transferred to Viet Tiep Hospital in Hai Phong for emergency care. Currently, the old man's health is being monitored and cared for by relatives and hospitals.
Previously, May Chi Waterway Police Station also promptly rescued 2 victims on this river. The Traffic Police Department also warns of the risk of drowning accidents in river areas with strong currents, especially in complicated weather conditions, people need to wear life jackets when participating in waterway traffic.
