On the afternoon of March 14, the Hai Phong City People's Council held the 24th Session (Special Session) of the 16th City People's Council, term 2021-2026.
At the meeting, the Hai Phong City People's Council passed 2 Resolutions on personnel work under the authority of the City People's Council. Accordingly, Mr. Le Khac Nam was dismissed from the position of Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term and Mr. Nguyen Thi Thuong Huyen was dismissed from the position of Member of the City People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term for Mr. and Mrs. Bui Thi Hong Van, Pham Van Tuan, Luong Van Cong, Tran Quang Tuan, Do Gia Khanh, Nguyen Thi Thuong Huyen due to transfer to other positions.
At the session, the City People's Council reviewed the Submissions of the City People's Committee, the Inspection Reports of the City People's Council Committees, and the draft Resolution submitted by the Session Secretary. The delegates of the City People's Council upheld their sense of responsibility, carefully studied the issues and voted and unanimously approved 5 thematic Resolutions.
5 thematic Resolutions include: Adjusting and supplementing (13 times) The city's medium-term public investment plan for the period 2021 - 2025; Adjusting and supplementing (first time) The city's public investment plan for 2025; Detailed allocation of some funding items in Resolution No. 94/NQ-HDND dated December 8, 2024 of the City People's Council; Supporting funding for the City Police to receive the function of managing drug addiction treatment and post-drug management in the city and the Resolution on Decision to supplement the number of employees receiving salaries from the state budget and adjusting the number of labor contracts of Hai Phong city in 2025.
Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Council Pham Van Lap suggested that immediately after this Session, the City People's Committee urgently direct the development and implementation of a Plan to organize the implementation of the Resolutions of the City People's Council; ensure compliance with regulations, especially newly issued regulations, regulations on streamlining the apparatus; at the same time, ensure that it does not disrupt the city's socio-economic development activities, national defense and security. Mr. Pham Van Lap also requested the Standing Committee of the People's Council, Committees, Delegation Groups and delegates of the City People's Council to focus on closely monitoring the implementation process to ensure serious, complete and effective implementation of the above-mentioned Resolutions.
