At the meeting with voters before the 10th session of the 15th National Assembly organized by the National Assembly Delegation of Da Nang City in Ngu Hanh Son Ward, Mr. Tran Chi Cuong - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City - directed regarding the An Thuong tourist area project (formerly in My An Ward) and Bac My An market.
Mr. Cuong said that previously, An Thuong streets were planned to become tourist areas (Western neighborhoods), phase 2 of the project had an investment policy. Currently, the implementation has been transferred from the district level to the Project Management Board, with capital allocated by the city.
The Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee requested Ngu Hanh Son Ward to closely follow the Project Management Board to grasp the investment content, focus on implementing on schedule, ensuring the completion of the neighborhood, avoiding a messy and unsynchronized situation.
"To become a tourism product, the neighborhood must be complete, ensuring the needs of serving customers. Kiosks, stalls, hutts or tents have a plan and must be implemented correctly," Mr. Cuong emphasized.
Mr. Cuong also noted that when serving tourism, there must be standards, especially for European visitors - a group of tourists with high requirements - to improve service quality, develop local socio-economy and people's lives.
For Bac My An market, the Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee assigned the ward to coordinate with the Project Management Board to promptly report on investment preparation, allocation and capital recording to implement the upgrading of the market - which is oriented to become a typical tourist market in the area.
