13,943 customers in Hanoi temporarily have their power outages cut off
According to information from Hanoi Electricity Corporation (EVNHANOI), as of 12:00 on October 7, there were still 13,943 customers in Hanoi who temporarily stopped supplying electricity due to flooding, mainly concentrated in central wards such as Ba Dinh (5,735 customers), Hoan Kiem (2,098 customers) and Ha Dong (2,884 customers).
Some suburban areas such as Gia Lam, Tu Liem, Dong Anh, Soc Son, Son Tay, Thuong Tin and Ung Hoa also recorded flooding with 3,226 customers affected.
Power units have mobilized maximum human resources, water pumping and drying equipment, urgently restoring transformer stations and power lines. Up to now, EVN Hanoi has restored and restored power to 5,562 customers in the capital.
The most severely affected areas, such as Ba Dinh and Hoan Kiem, are being prioritized for handling with teams of technicians working continuously, using drainage pumps and drying equipment to restore transformer stations and power lines.
When the water began to recede, EVN Hanoi deployed working groups to move quickly to the most severely affected areas.
EVN Hanoi also promptly issued recommendations reminding people to immediately cut off their household power when there is a risk of flooding, not to touch electrical equipment when their hands are wet or walk barefoot on a damp ground.
This unit said that during this heavy rain, the enterprise not only maintained the operation of the power system throughout the storm but also quickly restored power to flooded areas as soon as the water receded, contributing to helping life and production quickly return to normal. At the same time, proactively strengthen the power grid, reinforce vulnerable points and ensure the operation of transformer stations at risk of flooding.
