According to the Quang Nam Construction Investment Project Management Board (under the Da Nang City People's Committee) - the investor, this project is part of the anti-landslide embankment project combined with the Tam Ky riverside landscape road and the resettlement area, worth 500 billion VND, approved by the Tam Ky City People's Committee (old) in June 2023.

According to the design, the Tam Ky river embankment (in Huong Tra ward) is 971m long, with a reinforced concrete structure. The embankment top combined with a walking corridor, the ta-luy roof is covered with cement concrete and planted with trees to create a landscape.
The road along the embankment is 812m long, with a cross-section of 13.5m, asphalt concrete road surface structure, and auxiliary items such as electrical systems, lighting, drainage and urban trees.
The project is expected to be completed in June 2026.
This is an urgent project because over the years, the North bank of the Tam Ky River has often experienced serious landslides due to floods, causing damage to crops and trees and threatening the homes of hundreds of people. The government has repeatedly reinforced the residential area to protect it. However, the risk of landslides is always present as the rainy and stormy season approaches.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City Tran Nam Hung affirmed: "Investing in this project is an urgent requirement, meeting the legitimate aspirations of the people, while making an important contribution to natural disaster prevention and control, protecting urban infrastructure and the sustainable ecological environment".
