On the morning of January 17, the People's Procuracy (VKSND) of Region 4 (Da Nang City) initially informed about the labor accident that killed a female construction worker at a construction site on Da Son street, Hoa Khanh ward. Developments before the accident were clarified: the victim was operating a winch on the 5th floor, standing close to the edge of the wall to support the group of workers below.
According to initial information, the incident occurred at 4:50 PM on January 13 at a construction site on Da Son street. The victim is Ms. V.T.T.T (41 years old, Gia Lai household registration).
A noteworthy point initially recorded by functional agencies: at the time of the accident, Ms. T stood close to the edge of the wall on the 5th floor, pressing the winch to support the group of construction workers who were constructing on the 4th floor right below.
While operating the equipment, Ms. T suddenly lost her balance and fell straight from the height of the 5th floor to the ground. The fall caused the victim to die on the spot.
Immediately after receiving the report, the Prosecutor of the People's Procuracy of Region 4 was present to supervise the examination work, and at the same time coordinated with the Investigation Police Agency of Da Nang City Police to carry out procedural procedures according to regulations. The collection of evidence and working with individuals and related units is supervised to ensure objectivity and legal order.
After completing the scene examination and autopsy, the victim's body was handed over to his family to take him back to his hometown for funeral arrangements.
The People's Procuracy (VKSND) of Region 4, Da Nang City, said that it is coordinating with the investigating agency to urgently clarify the causes and responsibilities of the related parties.
