On the morning of October 22, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City - Tran Nam Hung chaired a meeting of the Standing Committee of the City Civil Defense Command, directing the establishment of 3 forward command departments to respond to storm No. 12.
The three forward command posts are located at the City Administrative Center, Dai Loc area and Tam Ky area (old), with the task of organizing and operating all prevention, response, search and rescue work in the area.
Vice Chairman Tran Nam Hung requested the Department of Agriculture and Environment to coordinate with irrigation and hydropower management units to monitor water levels and regulate safety levels according to the scenario. Police, army, and border guards increased forces to support localities in evacuating people, ensuring the safety of life and property.
Units and localities must strictly implement the on-duty regime, maintain communication 24/24, grasp the situation to proactively respond, promptly evacuate people in areas at risk of flooding and landslides.
According to the City Civil Defense Command, the evacuation of people in key areas is expected to be completed before 5:00 p.m. on October 22, 2025, to ensure absolute safety for people and infrastructure during storm No. 12.
