Since late on October 27, the rising water level of the Tuy Loan River has been partially flooded in some residential areas in Ba Na commune. Currently, local authorities are making efforts to support people to cope and ensure their lives during the prolonged heavy rain.
In the early morning of October 28, Non Nuoc Border Guard Station deployed forces to support people in Hoa Quy ward (old) to move their assets to higher ground to avoid flooding.
In the center of Avuong commune (Azedut village), water overflowed the embankment, causing flooding in people's houses in the village. Currently, the commune is mobilizing forces to move people's belongings, Nguyen Ba Ngoc school to a high place and to the hall of the People's Committee of Avang commune.
According to the Central Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, from 7:00 p.m. on October 26 to 5:00 a.m. on October 28, Da Nang city had moderate rain, heavy rain, and many places had very heavy rain. It is forecasted that from early morning of October 28 to the end of the night of October 29, wards and communes in the area will continue to have heavy to very heavy rain and thunderstorms, with total rainfall of 120400mm, some places over 500mm. Warning of high risk of flash floods, landslides in mountainous areas, deep flooding in low-lying areas along rivers and urban areas.

Major irrigation lakes such as Khe Tan, Thach Ban, Phu Loc, Huong Mao, An Long, Da wash, Phuoc Ha, Nuocon, Ho Giang, Viet An, Vinh Trinh, Cay Thong, Trung Loc, Cao Ngan are all flooded. Hoa Trung Lake is full, Dong Nghe Lake is 31.85/33.3m.
Hydropower reservoirs (Tranh 2 River, A Vuong, Bung 2'4 River, Dak Mi 4) are operating to cut floodwaters downstream.
By 5:00 a.m. on October 28, the whole city had evacuated 1,01 households/3,572 people. In particular, localities that were evacuated a lot include: Tra Linh (49 households/206 people), Tra Leng (51 households/265 people), Tra My (59 households/214 people), Phuoc Thanh (45 households/136 people), Tra Doc (141 households/620 people), and many communes such as Tra Giap, Phuoc Chanh, Duy Nghia, Vu Gia, Tra Van, Hiep Duc, Ben Giang, Ha Nha...
Many traffic routes, irrigation works, residential areas were severely affected such as Tay Giang, Phuoc Thanh, Tra My, Tra Doc, Tra Leng, Tra Lien, Phuoc Chanh, Hoi An Tay, Hoi An Dong... experienced landslides, deep flooding, and local isolation.
National highways 14B, 14G, 14H, 40B, National Highway 24C; provincial roads DT601, 606, 612, 614, 615 were eroded at dozens of points, causing traffic congestion. Inland waterway area: 14 phaus have not been found, 1 phaus is damaged, 2 phaus have broken chains, 2 solar power lights are damaged; estimated damage is about 500 million VND. Some places have missing people, houses collapsed, landslides, irrigation works and public lighting systems were severely damaged.
