On the morning of August 21, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City opened a training conference to foster professional skills in swimming teaching and child drowning prevention skills in 2026 in the northern area of the city.

The conference was held at Tien Son Sports Palace, lasting for 5 days, from August 21 to 25. This is an activity to improve the professional capacity of the team directly teaching swimming, and at the same time contribute to the effective implementation of the Safe Swimming Program, preventing child drowning in the city.
In addition, the program contributes to promoting the benefits of learning to swim, encouraging children and people to exercise, and developing a safe swimming movement in the community.
The organizers also expect to promote the role of families, schools and levels and sectors in expanding the swimming teaching and learning movement. Thereby, improving skills to prevent drowning accidents and minimize risks for children in the city.

In 5 days, students will learn both theory and practice. The program includes topics on legal regulations in swimming teaching, and methods of organizing classes.
Skills in preventing drowning, safe rescue, checking and evaluating swimming learning results and guiding the organization of propaganda activities for children. The practical part was implemented at the Da Nang Swimming and Diving Club.
At the end of the course, students who complete the full content and meet the test requirements will be granted certificates, creating a core human resource to deploy swimming teaching and child drowning prevention activities at the facility.
