On the morning of August 16, a leader of Tran Phu Ward People's Committee said that a drowning incident had just occurred in the locality, killing a male student.
Accordingly, on the morning of August 15, P.N. N. D (born 2011), P.N. N. N (born 2016) and P.N. P (born 2015) all residing in Thang Loi residential group, Tran Phu ward, invited each other to Ben Da regulating lake in Thang Loi residential group to fish.
While fishing, P.N. N. D (born 2011) saw a people's basket boat on the shore, so he took a boat and rowed away to fish. When the basket boat drifted away, due to panic, D jumped down and drowned.
Discovering the incident, P.N. N. N (born 2016) and P.N. P shouted for help. Victim P.N. N. D was immediately pulled ashore by some people living around, given first aid and then taken to the hospital but did not survive.
According to the leader of Tran Phu Ward People's Committee, P.N. N. D. had finished 9th grade and was preparing to enter 10th grade in the 2026 - 2027 school year when he unfortunately drowned.
In the afternoon of the same day, in the Ngan Pho River area passing through Ha Trai village, Son Kim 1 commune, Ha Tinh province, a drowning incident occurred. The victim is N.G. M. P (born 2019, residing in Nghi Xuan commune, Ha Tinh province).
After the incident occurred, P was taken by relatives to Huong Son Medical Center for emergency treatment, but the victim died.
After the incident occurred, Son Kim 1 Commune Police worked with the family and the medical center, determining that P's death was due to drowning, so they handed over the body to the family for burial according to local customs.
