On the morning of February 25, Hoa Vang district, Da Nang city held a groundbreaking ceremony to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025 in person and online at 12 locations across the district. This locality currently has 241 degraded houses that need to be rebuilt and repaired, with a total cost of more than 11 billion VND.
At the groundbreaking ceremony, Hoa Vang district received support from 29 organizations and individuals who supported the emulation movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses. The total budget received is more than 1 billion VND and 5 units registered to support 4,310 working days of construction.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Ho Ky Minh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, said that Hoa Vang district is a locality with many temporary and degraded houses that are potentially dangerous when natural disasters and storms occur.
To strive to complete the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025 as set out, Da Nang city will pay special attention and prioritize resources for support. At the same time, Mr. Ho Ky Minh also requested Hoa Vang district to focus on thoroughly implementing the direction of the City Party Committee Steering Committee on the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses. Especially housing support for people with revolutionary contributions, poor households, and near-poor households.
At the same time, the Steering Committee at the commune level needs to thoroughly grasp the work of supporting the construction of new houses to help people have a house and stabilize their lives. However, not for support but to legalize the recognition of land use rights for cases that do not have guaranteed legality related to land. Synchronously deploy and evaluate criteria and standards to ensure that subjects follow the criteria of "correct" and " works", limiting comparison at facilities.
"The program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses is divided into three groups. The first group, temporary houses with full legal procedures. Group 2, temporary and dilapidated houses lack legal procedures. In this case, when supporting the removal of temporary houses, it will continue to support people to carry out legal procedures in full. The third group is temporary houses that do not ensure legality, however, these houses are in great need of support. Therefore, we must first of all determine to the people that we still support but do not guarantee legality. And if the plan is implemented and compensation is released, there will be no support for the parts that have been supported to increase today," said Mr. Ho Ky Minh.
