On the afternoon of August 11, Muong Hung Commune Police (Son La) informed that the body of L.Q.K (5 years old, residing in H8 Village, Muong Hung Commune) had been found.
K's body was discovered in Muong Es district, Hua Phan province (Laos).
Previously, at around 4:00 p.m. on August 10, Muong Hung Commune Police received a report from Mr. L.V.P (38 years old, K's father) about his son leaving home at 2:30 p.m. the same day but not returning.
When leaving, he wore a short-sleeved T-shirt with patterns printed on beige, blue shorts, brown pearls, short hair, and a small figure.
At the time of the incident, Mr. P and his wife were picking longan, at home there were only K and his 9-year-old sister. It is known that Mr. P's house is only about 60m from the Ma River.
As soon as the news was received, local authorities and people organized a search along the Ma River. On the afternoon of August 11, K's body was discovered and handed over to his family for funeral arrangements.
