On the morning of August 9, Tam Thanh Border Guard Station (Da Nang City Border Guard) said that the rescue team had discovered the body of a man in the Ky Ha cape area, about 2 nautical miles from the mainland. The victim was wearing a long-sleeved shirt and black shorts.
The family confirmed that this is Mr. Phan Dinh H (72 years old, residing in Hoa Thuong block, Quang Phu ward, Da Nang city) - who went missing while fishing at sea on August 7.

Previously, at around 3am on August 7, Mr. H used a basket boat under 6m long to go fishing. When they did not return in the evening, people reported to Tam Thanh Border Guard Station. The authorities later discovered his boat drifting ashore in Long Thanh village (Tam Xuan commune, Da Nang), the items and assets were still intact but no one was found.
From the night of August 7 to the morning of August 9, many search teams at sea and along the shore were deployed with the participation of border guards, soldiers, police and local fishermen. By this morning, the victim's body had been brought ashore and handed over to his family for funeral arrangements.
