Drivers of 2 cars chasing and pressing each other in the middle of Hanoi street have been identified

Hanoi - After a collision in the Giai Phong street area, two cars continued to chase, swerve, and squeeze each other in the middle of the road.

On the evening of September 10, information from the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) of Hanoi City Police said that the unit had urgently verified and handed over the case of two cars with acts of swerving and chasing each other on Giai Phong street to functional agencies for handling.

Previously, on the same morning, a clip appeared on social networks reflecting two vehicles including Thanh Nga taxi license plate 30E-438. xx and a 16-seater passenger car license plate 29F-059. xx showing signs of swerving and chasing each other on Giai Phong street. After that, the two vehicles had a traffic collision.

Immediately after receiving the information, the Hanoi Traffic Police Department directed Road Traffic Police Team No. 4 to urgently conduct verification and handling.

Through investigation, the unit identified the taxi driver as Mr. P.Q. D (born 1994, residing in Ninh Binh); the 16-seater car driver is Mr. T.V. H (born 1985, residing in Hanoi).

On the same day, September 10, Road Traffic Police Team No. 4 invited the above-mentioned drivers to the headquarters to work.

At the police station, initially determined that at about 7:30 pm on September 9, Mr. T.V. H was driving a yellow-plated passenger car with license plate 29F-059. xx traveling on Giai Phong street in the direction of Le Duan - Truong Chinh. There were no passengers on the car at this time.

When arriving at the turnaround area under the Vong overpass, Mr. H drove the car to turn towards Le Duan when it collided with a Thanh Nga taxi with yellow license plate BKS 30E-438. xx, driven by Mr. P.Q. D, who was turning in the same direction.

After the collision, the two sides stopped but did not get out of the car to resolve the incident, then continued to drive vehicles to chase each other, swerving, and squeezing on Giai Phong street. The entire diễn biến was recorded by people and posted on social networks.

The police agency conducted an alcohol concentration test and rapid drug testing for the two drivers. As a result, both had no alcohol concentration and were negative for drugs.

Considering that the case is complex and shows signs of public disorder, Road Traffic Police Team No. 4 has coordinated to hand over the case, people and related vehicles to Bach Mai Ward Police to continue verifying, investigating, and resolving according to the provisions of law.

Currently, the case is being coordinated by relevant agencies to verify, investigate, and handle according to the provisions of law.
