Dak Lak rectifies false information at durian festival

Dak Lak - Functional agencies request rectification of false information at the durian festival.

On August 23, Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee said that it had just issued a document requesting agencies, units, and localities to rectify and handle some issues arising during the organization of Dak Lak Durian Festival 2026.

This move was implemented after the Provincial People's Committee received feedback related to security and order, parking activities, traffic, communication and durian purchasing during the festival.

Accordingly, Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee assigned the Provincial Police to urgently review, verify and handle cases reflected related to pickpocketing and property loss in the area where festival activities are organized.

The Provincial Police are requested to strengthen measures to prevent, detect, and handle crimes and illegal acts in crowded places. The goal is not to let similar situations occur in the remaining activities of the festival.

Regarding parking activities, the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Buon Ma Thuot Ward People's Committee to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to inspect and verify reflections on toll rates; strictly handle cases of fee collection that are not in accordance with regulations and publicize the results of inspection and handling.

Regarding communication work, the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to review the provision of information about festivals; strictly control the criteria for selecting, issuing cards, managing and supervising KOLs participating in activities.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is responsible for orienting statements, promptly rectifying false information and offensive statements, in order to limit negative impacts on the image of the Dak Lak Durian Festival in particular and the locality in general.
