On May 7, Dak Lak provincial authorities are still focusing on speeding up the progress of the project to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses. This work is being urgently deployed before the area enters the 2025 rainy season.
The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the People's Committee of Dak Lak province assigned the Provincial Police to lead and coordinate with the Department of Construction, Department of Finance, localities and relevant units to organize the implementation of the Project.
According to statistics from Dak Lak Provincial Police as of May 6, localities have started construction of 2,523 houses (reaching more than 86% of eligible households). Of which, 339 houses for poor and near-poor households have been completed and put into use.
Krong Pac district is one of the localities urgently implementing the construction of houses for poor and near-poor households. The district is making efforts to complete the construction and repair of a total of 439 houses for the people.
Mr. Nguyen Hoang Giang - Secretary of the Krong Pac District Party Committee said: "The district has just held a conference to sign a commitment to complete the progress of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the area by 2025.
The Standing Committee of the District Party Committee identifies this as a major political task and requires the Party Committee and People's Committee at the commune level to commit to focusing on leadership and direction associated with the responsibility of the head to complete it".
According to Mr. Giang, on May 19, the district had to complete 100% of the repair house and by 30.5, 100% of new houses were completed. The heads of the Party committees and local authorities are responsible to the District Party Committee and the District Standing Committee on ensuring the committed progress.
"The Standing Committee of the District Party Committee will review and recommend reviewing the responsibilities of the Party Committee Secretary and Chairman of the Commune People's Committee associated with the merger project if the progress is not completed," Mr. Giang emphasized.
In 2025, the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee assigned the Provincial Police to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to build 4,285 houses for poor and near-poor households. The total implementation cost is 342.8 billion VND.
Of which, the Central Government supported more than 257 billion VND, the province contributed 85.7 billion VND. Each house is supported with 80 million VND.
