On April 29, the Steering Committee for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses of Khanh Hoa Province (Steering Committee) held a summary ceremony of the Program for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses in Khanh Hoa Province.
According to the report of the Provincial Steering Committee for the Elimination of Temporary and Dilapidated Houses, the whole province has 1,326 households eligible for support in building and repairing houses, of which 462 houses were newly built and 864 houses were repaired.
Before the April 30 holiday, Khanh Hoa province had completed the comprehensive elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses for eligible households with a total cost of more than 65.3 billion VND.
Of which, the provincial "For the Poor" Fund supported more than 53.6 billion VND, and families contributed more than 11.7 billion VND.
The support level for new construction is 60 million VND/unit, for repair is 30 million VND/unit. During the implementation process, all levels, sectors and localities closely followed the progress, checked quality, and promptly resolved arising problems. The works all meet the "3 hard" standard, with a minimum area of 30m2, and a lifespan of more than 20 years, meeting the basic living needs of the people.
The deadline for completing the comprehensive elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses for eligible households in Khanh Hoa is about 6 months ahead of the Government's schedule.
Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Secretary Nghiem Xuan Thanh highly appreciated the synchronous and drastic participation of members of the Steering Committee, Party committees, authorities, the Fatherland Front at all levels, socio-political organizations and villages, residential groups, and local authorities in implementing the program.
