On May 12, Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee organized a workshop to contribute opinions on the dossier of adjusting the provincial planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050.
The event is of particular importance to the process of completing the planning adjustment dossier of Dak Lak province in the new development phase. Thereby, aiming to build a plan that ensures quality, long-term vision and high feasibility.
This provincial planning adjustment takes place in the context of a newly formed province based on the arrangement of provincial-level administrative units, creating a larger development space. At the same time, it sets higher requirements for regional linkages, territorial organization and effective exploitation of new potentials and advantages.
This is also the time for the province to review and comprehensively assess development drivers, restructure the socio-economic space and establish strategic orientations for the long-term development stage.
The Provincial People's Committee determined that the new plan must ensure innovative thinking, strategic vision, integration, linkage and sustainable development; maximize the unique advantages of the locality with both the Central Highlands and the South Central Coast.
Speaking at the workshop, Mr. Do Huu Duy - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee affirmed that the province has proactively and synchronously implemented the steps to prepare and adjust the province's planning in accordance with regulations.
The Provincial People's Committee has directed specialized agencies to review and comprehensively assess the current situation of socio-economic development, infrastructure system, development space distribution, potentials, advantages and requirements set out in the new period. At the same time, select capable and experienced consulting units to perform the task of preparing and adjusting provincial planning.
Immediately after being selected, the consulting unit closely coordinated with departments, agencies, branches and localities in the province to collect information, data, and conduct actual surveys... Thereby, gradually completing the database, assessing the current situation and developing development plans to serve the draft report on adjusting the provincial planning.
According to the Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee, it is hoped that leaders, experts, scientists and the business community will focus on exchanging and contributing opinions on some key issues.
Development vision and positioning of the province's role in the region and the whole country; organization of development space; strategic infrastructure system; development orientation for key industries and fields; resource management, environmental protection, climate change adaptation; along with solutions to mobilize resources and organize the implementation of planning.
