On October 14, the Dak Lak Provincial Department of Construction said that from 2021 to now, the whole province has put into use 393 social housing units.
It is expected that by the end of 2025, about 2,255 more apartments will be completed or started construction.
Currently, the province has allocated 16 land plots for independent social housing development, with a total area of over 61.5 hectares, expected to build about 24,825 units.
In addition, 7 land plots belonging to commercial housing projects have also been allocated land for social housing, with an area of about 17.4 hectares, equivalent to about 3,500 apartments.
In the 2025-2030 period, authorities and investors will continue to deploy more than 36,600 social housing units, striving to complete the target of 38,400 units by 2030 according to the direction of the Prime Minister.
At the An Phu urban area project (Tan An ward), a representative of An Phu Company said that from now until the end of 2025, the enterprise will focus on building and completing infrastructure for all 9 social housing blocks.
In September, the unit opened the third sale with a total of 164 apartments in 4 blocks C1, C2, C3 and C4 for low-income people. The time to receive documents is until October 18, expected to open for sale on November 8.
The An Phu social housing project is one of three projects invested by enterprises according to the commercial urban model, implemented on 20% of the land fund with completed infrastructure.
However, according to research, most of the land fund for social housing development in Dak Lak has not yet been compensated and cleared. Meanwhile, the province's budget resources are still limited and it has not been able to create many clean land funds to attract investors.
In addition, the locality also faces difficulties in implementing regulations on reserving social housing land funds for commercial projects in newly merged administrative areas, as well as in the stage of approving home buyers - especially freelance groups.
"The authorities are focusing on removing obstacles to speed up the progress of social housing projects. Departments and branches need to closely coordinate with investors, helping low-income workers settle down and find a job soon," emphasized Ms. Ho Thi Nguyen Thao - Permanent Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee.
