Dak Lak - The Provincial People's Committee has just issued a letter calling on local people residing illegally in Thailand to voluntarily return to Vietnam.

On March 24, a leader of the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee confirmed that the Provincial People's Committee has just issued a letter calling on ethnic minorities in the locality residing illegally in Thailand to voluntarily return to Vietnam.

According to the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee, recently, many people in the province have listened to some bad guys luring them to leave their homeland and illegally settle in Thailand. People leave in the hope of having a happy life with a high income...

However, when coming to Thailand, people encountered many difficulties, mainly living in boarding houses, temporary houses, lacking minimum living conditions, working for hire in heavy work...

Some cases of law violations were handled by Thai authorities for illegal residence.

From 2020 to present, authorities at all levels in Dak Lak province have organized propaganda and mobilization, creating conditions for 42 people returning to Vietnam to reunite with relatives and families.

These cases were visited, encouraged, supported with necessities and support for work, employment, and family economic development by authorities at all levels... Since then, they have soon stabilized their lives.

With the spirit of solidarity and the motto "leaving no one behind", the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee calls on people residing illegally in Thailand to voluntarily return to Vietnam.

The government and functional forces will create conditions to care for, support, and help people reunite with their families, villages, and hamlets, stabilize their lives and develop the economy.

The Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee recommends that people and their family members contact the local authorities and the police of the commune where they live for guidance and support.
