Learn a trade to settle down
Currently, in Dak Lak province, there are many repatriated workers from the southern provinces and cities returning to their hometowns to register for vocational training classes. Their biggest wish is to find a job that suits their abilities through vocational training classes. Thereby, they can have a stable job, settle down in their hometown, and no longer have to struggle hard in a foreign land as before.
After a period of time away from home, Mr. Y Hoang Ksor (in M'Drak district) has worked in many places. Recently, when returning to his hometown, Mr. Y Hoang Ksor returned and participated in a construction vocational training class organized by the district's Vocational Education - Continuing Education Center. After graduating, Mr. Y Hoang Ksor invited other students, Y Noan Ksor, Y Suc Nie, and Y Binh Ksor, to take on construction contracts in the district, gradually improving their income.
“I just hope to have many projects to work on together with my brothers in the village, to earn more income to take care of my family. There is nothing happier than standing on your own two feet to build a career and be with your family, settling down in your hometown” - Mr. Y Hoang Ksor shared.
Unlike Mr. Y Hoang Ksor's group, after learning about chicken farming in Ea Rieng commune (M'Drak district), he and some other students established a chicken farming cooperative and boldly borrowed capital to develop the model. These students quickly achieved success and built the 715 hill chicken brand in the market.
According to statistics from the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Dak Lak province, in the period of 2021 - 2023 alone, the authorities in Dak Lak province supported vocational training for 9,121 rural workers, with a total budget of more than 31 billion VND. In the period of 2024 - 2025, the province aims to support vocational training for about 15,400 rural workers with a support budget of about 53 billion VND.
Promote career counseling for people
According to the Dak Lak Provincial Employment Service Center, in the first 9 months of 2024, the unit provided job, career and policy counseling to 40,694 people and introduced jobs to 6,533 people. The number of people who got jobs after the introduction was 2,065 people. The authorities provided labor export counseling to nearly 1,700 people.
In the last 3 months of 2024, the center is expected to provide job and career counseling to more than 12,000 people and organize 15 job fairs and job fairs. Activities will focus on key areas where there are many unemployed and idle workers.
Mr. Le Hai Ly - Director of Dak Lak Province Employment Service Center - said: "Organizing activities must be based on practical significance, not on quantity, and must have close coordination between local authorities and mass organizations to mobilize workers to participate. In addition, the unit will maintain and expand the organization of conferences on consulting, introducing jobs, and exporting labor to ethnic minority villages in remote areas of the province."
According to Mr. Ly, the above activities will be implemented in a diverse and innovative manner. Units will use mobile propaganda teams to directly implement them, showing images and information, and meeting with workers to grasp their thoughts and aspirations for in-depth consultation.
