On July 1, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak province coordinated with the Provincial Tourism Association to organize a reception training course for accommodation facilities and tourist areas and destinations in the area.

There were 40 people attending the training class. Students will be imparted basic knowledge on the topics by lecturers. These include communication and handling skills over the phone, customer service processes, situations and synthesized practices.

Ms. Nguyen Thuy Phuong Hieu - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak province said: "After merging with Phu Yen, the new Dak Lak province has a large area and population, with great potential for developing marine tourism, eco-tourism...".
According to Ms. Hieu, the training course will help local businesses gain more basic knowledge and skills in tourism reception operations. Trainees are equipped with skills to serve domestic and foreign tourists professionally, effectively handling arising situations".
"The staff and receptionists at hotels, tourist areas and destinations are the ones who directly discuss, guide and advise tourists. They need to grasp basic skills to satisfy domestic and foreign tourists.
In the coming time, the Department will organize many training courses, fostering and improving the quality of tourism human resources in combination with hosting and organizing events. Thereby, it shows tourists the friendliness and hospitality of the locality, contributing to attracting tourists and increasing revenue for the industry in the new situation", Ms. Hieu added.
