On the evening of May 13, Mr. Thach Canh Tinh - Chairman of Dong Gia Nghia Ward People's Committee (Lam Dong) said that a drowning incident had just occurred on Dak Ning Lake, killing 1 person.
Previously, at about 12:48 pm on the same day, functional agencies received a report from people about Mr. Y Ngon Ê Nuôi (28 years old, residing in Knuếc commune, Đắk Lắk province) and some people casting nets to catch fish on Đắk Ning irrigation lake, unfortunately drowning and missing.
Immediately after receiving the information, Dong Gia Nghia Ward People's Committee mobilized local forces to coordinate with the Fire and Rescue Team of Area 12, Lam Dong Provincial Police to deploy search and rescue work.
After many search efforts, in the afternoon of the same day, functional forces found the victim's body about 50m away from the accident site on Dak Ning Lake.
Currently, functional agencies are completing procedures to hand over the victim's body to the family for funeral arrangements.
