Hanoi - After verifying the mud and soil spilling about 100m long on Vo Chi Cong street, Hanoi Traffic Police clarified the identity of the violating driver.

At about 0:10 on June 7, on Vo Chi Cong street (Tay Ho ward, Hanoi), an incident occurred where a truck dropped mud and soil onto the road surface, affecting traffic order and safety.

Upon receiving information, Road Traffic Police Team No. 2 (CSGT) - Traffic Police Department of Hanoi City Police urgently dispatched a working group to the scene to inspect and handle. Here, the working group recorded a large amount of mud and soil scattered on the road surface stretching about 100m (from alley 685 Lac Long Quan towards Nhat Tan bridge), posing a potential risk of traffic unsafety.

As soon as they arrived at the scene, the working group coordinated with Tay Ho Ward Police to organize traffic diversion and guide vehicles to circulate safely through the area; and at the same time coordinated with the environmental sanitation unit to urgently collect mud and clean the road surface.

In parallel with the scene recovery work, functional forces conducted inspections of transport operating conditions, vehicle weight and related documents for the driver and vehicle causing the incident.

Through inspection, the identity of the truck driver in the incident was identified as Mr. Nguyen Van T (born in 1981, residing in Hanoi). Working with the police agency, Mr. T presented that at about 0:10 am on June 7, he was driving a truck carrying sludge on Vo Chi Cong street in the direction from Xuan La to Nhat Tan bridge.

When arriving at the above area, due to discovering an obstacle on the road, he braked suddenly, causing mud and soil from behind to rush up, blowing up the bench and falling onto the road surface. Immediately after discovering the incident, Mr. T proactively stopped the vehicle to coordinate handling and overcoming the consequences.

The inspection results determined that the vehicle did not violate regulations on tonnage, cargo box dimensions and technical safety conditions as prescribed.

For the above violation, the vehicle driver was fined 3 million VND and forced to implement remedial measures according to regulations.

At the scene, functional forces recorded 2 cases of motorcyclists slipping and falling while traveling through the area of spilled mud. The verification process and working with related people showed that the above cases were only slightly scratched, there were no casualties or property damage. Vehicle drivers have requested self-repair.
