On the afternoon of December 22, a major fire broke out at a car repair garage in Group 1 Tra Ba (Hoi Phu Ward, Gia Lai Province), causing a number of cars under repair here to catch fire fiercely.
At about 14:10 on the same day, employees working at garage D.D. Located at the intersection of Nguyen Ba Ngoc - Nguyen Chi Thanh streets, smoke was discovered coming from the repair shop area of the garage, so it reported it to the authorities.
Upon receiving the report, Hoi Phu Ward Police and the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department (Provincial Police) urgently sent dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene to participate in extinguishing the fire.
The scene was a warehouse with an area of about 500 m2 and many cars under repair, inside were many flammable materials, so the fire spread quickly.
The Fire Prevention and Rescue Police quickly approached and used professional measures to contain the fire to prevent it from spreading to neighboring residential areas. At around 3:00 p.m., the fire was controlled and completely extinguished.
The fire caused some cars under repair here to catch fire. The cause of the fire is being clarified by the authorities.
