Many bidding packages in Long Thanh airport project have been started.
On January 3, according to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper at the construction site of Long Thanh airport project in Long Thanh district, Dong Nai province, officers, engineers and workers are urgently working on package 4.6 of the runway and package 5.10 of the passenger terminal.
Here, the lotus-shaped passenger terminal is increasingly clearly shown, and labor safety work is seriously implemented.
Also on January 3, Vietnam Airports Corporation ACV informed about the implementation status of the remaining bidding packages being prepared for bidding in the first quarter of 2025.
According to ACV, package 7.8 - "Construction, equipment installation and construction drawing design for cargo terminal No. 1 and remaining auxiliary works" - has completed the appraisal work as a basis for ACV to select contractors according to regulations.
Package No. 11.5 - "Construction, equipment installation and construction drawing design for parking garage" - is organizing contractor selection, expected to complete contractor selection in the first quarter of 2025 to start construction in sync with other packages of the project.
Previously, ACV continued to start many important packages at the Long Thanh airport project, Long Thanh district such as: Package 4.7 - Construction and installation of equipment for aircraft parking lots and other works; Package 4.9 - Construction and installation of equipment for aircraft fuel supply systems; Package 2.10 - Construction of Long Thanh airport fence...
In addition, package No. 4.8 also had ACV approve the contractor selection results on October 25, 2024.
April 30, 2025, Long Thanh airport runway exploitation
Currently, at the ACV construction site, hundreds of construction teams have been organized with nearly 7,000 experts, engineers, workers, and nearly 3,000 construction equipment.
Package 5.10 for construction and equipment installation of the passenger terminal has so far completed all underground reinforced concrete work.
For steel structure, main steel truss production is 100% complete for the wing area and 61% for the central area. Secondary steel frame erection work has started in the central area.
Package 4.6, construction of runways, taxiways, and aircraft parking lots, ACV is determined to direct construction units to complete and technically exploit the runways before April 30, 2025.
Package 6.12, construction of the traffic system connecting line 1 and line 2, put into use before September 2, 2025.
Mr. Duong Quang Dien - Permanent Deputy Director of Long Thanh Airport Project Management Board - said: "Following the direction of the Prime Minister, we determined that 2025 will be the year of acceleration and breakthrough, creating the premise to bring Long Thanh airport project to the earliest progress milestone."
