Open up jobs for workers
Tuy Duc border district has a mountainous terrain that is fragmented, with many remote and difficult areas, but is growing strongly. In particular, the work of hunger eradication and poverty reduction among the people is achieving many positive results.
In recent times, Tuy Duc District Vocational Education and Continuing Education Center has achieved positive results in vocational training for rural workers. Thereby, contributing to increasing productivity and improving the quality of life for local people.
For example, in 2024, vocational training activities at the Center were organized systematically. Thanks to that, it gradually contributed to raising awareness among officials and people about the importance of vocational training for socio-economic development.
Mr. Nguyen Van Thang - Director of Tuy Duc District Vocational Education and Continuing Education Center shared: "The Center plays a pivotal role in vocational training in the district. In particular, the unit not only advises the District People's Committee but also coordinates with agencies, departments and organizations to implement effective propaganda and dissemination programs on vocational training policies."
According to Mr. Thang, in addition to training at the headquarters, the center also organizes mobile vocational training classes in communes. This makes it easier for students to reduce travel and living expenses.
Through career counseling and job referral activities, the center has provided people with useful information about training professions and labor market trends.
Thanks to that, students can easily choose a suitable career, while ensuring the connection between training and sustainable job creation.
In 2024, the center trained 270 students in 9 different vocational training classes. Among them were 3 agricultural machinery repair classes with 88 students.
As of November 21, 2024, the unit has completed 85.82% of the plan. Currently, 4 classes have graduated and certificates have been awarded to students in accordance with regulations. 80% of students after graduation have found jobs or applied technical advances to production at home.
"This is a testament to the center's constant efforts to improve the quality of vocational training. Thereby, aiming to help students stabilize their lives and develop sustainably," said Mr. Thang.
Training associated with job creation
To make vocational training courses effective, Tuy Duc district has built a program suitable to the practical needs of the locality and the accessibility of the people.
The chosen professions are also diverse, from agricultural engineering, animal husbandry, garment making, to machine repair, carpentry and agricultural processing.
People are also supported with vocational training costs, materials and practice tools. In particular, classes are often held near their residences to make it convenient for people to do housework and farming.
Not only does it improve people’s material life, the vocational training program also brings confidence and motivation to the people. The most exciting thing is that many farmers and workers at the grassroots level are no longer worried or pressured about making a living, but have a clearer direction after learning a trade.
According to the leader of Tuy Duc District People's Committee, in the coming time, Tuy Duc District will continue to expand the scale and improve the quality of vocational training programs.
The district also directed local authorities and specialized departments to set a goal of connecting more closely with businesses, introducing jobs, and creating stability for students.
"Through surveys, the quality and effectiveness of vocational training for rural workers have been increasingly improved. Trainees have accessed and applied the knowledge they have learned about new and advanced science and technology to the production process.
Through this, workers have reduced costs, increased labor productivity and product quality. Through vocational training classes for rural workers, workers have learned to apply them to production, animal husbandry and business to develop the family economy," added Mr. Nguyen Van Anh, Vice Chairman of Tuy Duc District People's Committee.
