Mr. Nong Van Dinh, in Ea Tam commune, Krong Nang district, shared: "In April 2024, I completed a durian growing course organized by the Center for Vocational Education - Continuing Education of Krong Nang district. During the learning process, I had great confidence in the qualifications and skills of the teachers."
With the knowledge he gained from training and experience, Mr. Dinh confidently planted and cared for his family's durian to grow effectively.
"This is a crop with high economic value, so it can help many farmers in the area have a stable income, gradually escaping poverty," Mr. Dinh added.
Ms. H'Noi Mlo (28 years old) has built a family. Thanks to the support of the Women's Union of Ea Ho commune, Ms. H'Noi registered to study a sewing class organized by the Center for Vocational Education - Continuing Education of Krong Nang district in October 2024.
After only 2 weeks of training and apprenticeship, Ms. H'Noi was able to do simple sewing, her skills improved significantly. Ms. H'Noi's biggest wish after graduation is to take care of her children at home and take on garment orders. From there, she can help her husband reduce the burden of taking care of the family's finances.
Sweet fruits from vocational training
In recent times, Krong Nang district, Dak Lak province has focused on effectively implementing the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development for Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas for the 2021-2030 period.
Phase I from 2021 to 2025. During this period, in 2022 and 2023, the Center for Vocational Education - Continuing Education of Krong Nang district opened 9 vocational training classes for 315 students in the area with a total implementation cost of more than 1 billion VND.
Mr. Nong Duc Nam - Director of the Center for Vocational Education - Continuing Education of Krong Nang district emphasized: "The Center proposes to the District People's Committee to make a plan to review and register trained workers who are beneficiaries of the project but ensure the requirements of the local labor market in the current period".
According to Mr. Nam, this is to avoid the situation where trained workers do not have the quality and skills to meet the needs of employers and reduce the effectiveness of the policy.
"The unit has also made recommendations to competent authorities to handle policy-related problems in implementing support for repair and maintenance of works and purchasing equipment for training at the Center," Mr. Nam added.
Mr. Y Teo Nie - Head of the Economic - Social Committee, People's Council of Krong Nang district informed that through supervision, the units assigned to be project owners have generally implemented the project in accordance with the prescribed procedures and order.
Beneficiaries all meet the set criteria. Workers in the beneficiaries basically have the knowledge and skills to create stable jobs, increase income and improve their lives.
According to research, people in many disadvantaged communes in Krong Nang district, after being trained in general occupations such as farming, animal husbandry, electricity, garment making... have found jobs or created jobs for themselves.
After vocational training courses, many students showed their desire to develop their family's economy, overcome difficulties to have a stable life.
