On the morning of October 4, the People's Committee of Dray Bhang commune (Dak Lak province) issued a quick report on the traffic accident that killed Mr. Le Phuoc Toan - Chairman of the People's Committee of the commune.
The report said that from 6pm to 9:30pm on October 3, there was very heavy rain in the area, causing local flooding on National Highway 27, causing traffic congestion and danger to road users.
Faced with the above situation, Mr. Le Phuoc Toan and the commune's working group have directed traffic and warned of the dangers to road users.
At about 9:25 p.m. the same day, Mr. Toan was hit by a car driven by Ms. Le Thi Cam Chi (residing in Ea Ktur commune, Dak Lak province).
Although he was taken to the Central Highlands General Hospital for emergency treatment, Mr. Toan died due to severe injuries.
The People's Committee of Dray Bhang commune proposed that the Provincial People's Committee agree on the policy to complete the procedures and submit to the competent authority to recognize Mr. Le Phuoc Toan as a martyr for having died while performing his duties.
As Lao Dong reported, at around 6:15 p.m. on October 3, in Dray Bhang commune, there was very heavy rain, flooding a section of National Highway 27.
To avoid traffic congestion on the route, Mr. Le Phuoc Toan and some officials of Dray Bhang commune took to the road to regulate vehicles.
At about 9:30 p.m. the same day, while on duty, Mr. Toan was hit by a car.
After that, Mr. Toan was taken to the Central Highlands General Hospital for emergency treatment. However, due to severe injuries, Mr. Toan died.
After receiving the news, leaders of the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee went to the hospital to encourage and share the great loss of Mr. Toan's family.
