On April 18, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council, Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Hanoi City Nguyen Ngoc Tuan and National Assembly Delegates of Election Team No. 3 met with voters of the districts: Cau Giay, Thanh Xuan, Nam Tu Liem before the 9th session of the 15th National Assembly.
The conference was held in a face-to-face or online manner, with the main meeting point located at the People's Committee of Nam Tu Liem District.
At the meeting, delegates informed voters about the expected content of the 9th session (expected to open on May 5, 2025), along with the results of responding to voters' recommendations of the National Assembly, the Government, central ministries, branches and the Hanoi People's Committee.
At the meeting, many issues of people's lives continued to be reflected by voters such as air pollution, drug crimes, prostitution, production and trading of counterfeit goods, especially drugs, food, and fake milk. Voters recommend the need for more severe sanctions, while also handling individuals and organizations that support the promotion of violating products.
Regarding the field of social security and housing, voters suggested that the Central and the city have solutions to encourage businesses to participate in developing social housing, adjusting policies in a flexible direction, suitable for reality and the right subjects. At the same time, it is necessary to monitor the management and operation of apartments and handle the situation of long-term suspended projects.
Notably, voters expressed concern about the leakage of personal information on cyberspace. National Assembly deputies were recommended to speed up the issuance of a legal framework to protect personal data and strictly handle illegal information trading in the context of digital transformation.
Accepting the opinions, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Council Nguyen Ngoc Tuan affirmed that the city always listens to the legitimate thoughts and aspirations of the people.
He said that in the first quarter of 2025, the capital's economy continued to achieve many positive results: GRDP growth reached 7.35%, budget revenue reached nearly 49%; social security policies were implemented promptly, fully, and to the right subjects.
Responding to voters about environmental protection and water supply for the To Lich River, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tuan said that this is a key issue that the city has resolutely directed to solve.
Regarding streamlining the apparatus, the leader of the Hanoi People's Council affirmed the city's viewpoint of doing quickly but ensuring quality, taking the work efficiency as a measure, selecting cadres with real qualities and abilities to meet the requirements of serving the people.
Regarding the handling of suspended projects, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tuan said that from 2017 to 2018, the City People's Council has had a thematic supervision. In the coming time, the city will continue to have specific solutions to remove and effectively exploit land funds.
With the contents under the district authority, the leaders of 3 districts of Cau Giay, Nam Tu Liem and Thanh Xuan are proposed to focus on solving definitely. The contents under the city authority will be handled and advised by departments and branches; The contents under the central authority will be summarized by the City National Assembly delegation, reporting to the National Assembly Standing Committee and relevant agencies for consideration and settlement.
