According to the representative of Trung Ha commune, this is a vulnerable point in natural disaster prevention, and the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee declared an emergency situation in early October 2024.

Muong village currently has 39 households with 168 people living along low hills along the Lo river and streams. After storm No. 4 at the end of September 2024, cracks and subsidence appeared on the foundation, yard, walls of houses and traffic roads in the village. The risk of landslides here is very high.

Faced with the complicated developments of storm No. 3, especially the risk of heavy rain due to the storm's circulation causing landslides, on July 20, the People's Committee of Trung Ha commune held a village meeting, announced the weather situation and agreed on a plan to evacuate all people to a safe place.

On the morning of July 21, the commune organized forces to set up temporary shelters in a safe area near the village, and at the same time evacuated people from the danger zone. The relocation was carried out methodically and urgently, with the participation of police and military forces.

Trung Ha Commune Party Secretary Ha Xuan Thanh added: With the high consensus and unity of the People, by 4:00 p.m. on July 21, the work of evacuating people from the dangerous area in Muong village had been completed. The commune has also prepared electricity, water and food to meet the living needs of people during the temporary stay, and assigned forces to be on duty 24/7, providing support when needed.
