On September 1, the People's Committee of Ia Hrung commune, Gia Lai province coordinated with rescue forces to find the body of a woman swept away by water.
Initial information, on the afternoon of August 31, Mr. H.R (born in 2006) was driving a motorbike carrying his wife, Ms. D.W (born in 2003) and son, named K (born in 2023), both residing in Ia Nueng village, Bien Ho commune, traveling from Ia Hrung commune to Bien Ho commune.
While crossing the spillway in Dat 1 village ( bordering Ia Hrung commune and Bien Ho commune), Mr. R and his wife and children were swept away by the water. At this time, Mr. R was able to save his child in time. Ms. W was swept away by the water.
Upon receiving the news, the People's Committee of Ia Hrung commune coordinated with the police, militia and people to actively search for Ms. W. At the same time, the Fire Fighting and Rescue Working Team of Pleiku area (Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, Gia Lai Provincial Police) mobilized vehicles and 16 officers and soldiers to the scene to coordinate with Ia Hrung commune police and people to organize the search.
At 10:00 a.m. on September 1, the authorities found Ms. W's body about 1.5km from the victim's accident site. The authorities have handed over the body to the family for funeral arrangements.
