This morning (6.17), Mr. Giang Ho (25 years old) and the younger sister Cu Mua (32 years old, both in Cao Son commune, Muong Khuong district, Lao Cai province) - 2 victims in the case of being "ripped off" by a taxi and motorbike taxi driver for nearly 5 million VND have reported to Hanoi City Police.
At around 11:30, the two victims had finished working with the police. It is expected that this afternoon, Mr. Ho and Ms. Mua will take a bus back to their hometown in Muong Khuong, Lao Cai.

Previously, on the morning of June 16, the two people went to My Dinh 2 Ward Police (Nam Tu Liem, Hanoi) to report being "ripped off" nearly 5 million VND - including 4.2 million VND for taxi drivers and 700,000 VND for motorbike taxi services.
On June 16, My Dinh 2 Ward Police summoned 3 related people, including a taxi driver and two motorbike taxi drivers.
On the same afternoon, the authorities re-established the scene to serve the investigation.

Talking to a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Cu Phin (Ms. Mua's brother) said that the family's viewpoint is to get the "ripped off" money back.
Mr. Phin also requested the authorities to strictly handle the subjects according to the provisions of the law.
As Lao Dong reported, in the early afternoon of May 13, Mr. Giang Ho and his team, Ms. Mua, took a technology taxi from the National Children's Hospital to My Dinh Bus Station to pick up Truc Nghiu's passenger bus to Muong Khuong District (Lao Cai).
When arriving at the bus station, a man approached and asked Mr. Ho which bus company he was going to?". Mr. Ho replied: "Go to Truc Nghiu car".
This person said that Truc Nghiu's car had left the station and called the two motorbike taxi drivers carrying Mr. Ho and chased after this car.
After leaving My Dinh bus station for about 1 km, the two motorbike taxi drivers told Mr. Ho and Ms. Mua that the bus had entered the highway and could not return, so they had to call a shuttle bus to km23 because the bus was waiting there.
Next, the motorbike taxi driver called a taxi to pick up Mr. Ho and Ms. Mua and collected a fee of 700,000 VND (including transportation and bus fares).
However, instead of taking the passengers to the right destination, the taxi driver only took them to the beginning of the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway and dropped them off, and at the same time asked the two passengers to pay 4.2 million VND.
Taking a taxi for a while, these two people were taken by Xuan Truong to get a taxi. In the car, Mr. Ho told Mr. Truong the story of "ripping off" money to go on a bus.
After that, Mr. Truong posted content on social networks, making the public extremely dissatisfied with the behavior of taxi and motorbike taxi drivers.

At noon on June 15, Mr. Truong suddenly received a Messenger message from a stranger, claiming to be a relative (brother) of the taxi driver related to the "ripped off" incident that Mr. Truong posted on social media.
Mr. Truong said that this person wanted to ask for his phone number to facilitate communication, as well as to apologize to the victim's family.
"This person also suggested sending back the amount of 4.9 million VND, asking me to transfer it to the family of 2 people from Lao Cai" - Mr. Truong said.
However, Mr. Truong did not respond to the above request and affirmed that the incident would be investigated and clarified by the authorities.
On the afternoon of June 15, Mr. Xuan Truong booked a bus to take the two victims from Lao Cai to Hanoi and took them to the My Dinh 2 Ward Police Station to report on the morning of June 16.
Currently, the authorities are continuing to investigate and clarify the incident.
