It is forecasted that in the next 24-48 hours, the continental cold high pressure will weaken; the equatorial low pressure trough will be at about 4-7 degrees North latitude combined with disturbances in the high-altitude East wind zone. Northeast winds will blow moderately to strongly in the sea off the Southeast. Above, the subtropical high pressure with an axis through the North Central region is active.
On the night of December 12 and December 13, the continental cold high pressure will strengthen again; the low pressure trough and high-altitude easterly wind disturbances will gradually decrease. Northeast winds in the southern seas will strengthen, while the subtropical high pressure will lower its axis to the Central Central region and maintain stable intensity.
Due to the impact of these conditions, the South will have moderate rain and thunderstorms, locally heavy to very heavy rain. The weather is dry, humidity decreases; some days are cold at night and in the morning, and the sunny days can affect health.
Regarding high tides, the highest water level of the day on the Saigon River will continue to decrease in the next 5 days. The peak tide is approximately or above alert level I and may last until December 10-11.
