According to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, all the central streets of Dien Bien such as Vo Nguyen Giap, Truong Chinh, Nguyen Chi Thanh... are splendidly decorated with thousands of red flags with yellow stars.
Flags, flowers, banners and slogans are also solemnly hung at agencies, offices, schools and houses, expressing patriotism and national pride.
Not only in the central area, the atmosphere of celebrating the big holiday also spread to all the villages. Many households have hung the national flag in front of their houses for many days now.
In Muong Lay ward, National Highway 12 to Mo village made a strong impression with the image of "the national flag road". Hundreds of national and party flags have been planted along both sides of the road. The flag road passing through the lush rice fields creates a contrast of colors.
In particular, at important historical sites such as Dien Bien Phu Victory Monument, A1 Hill, Muong Thanh Bridge, Do Cat Tunnel... the decoration work was meticulously carried out, attracting a large number of local people and tourists from all over to visit and take photos.
Ms. Le Thi Thao (Dien Bien Phu ward) said: "Seeing the red flag with yellow star flying like a feather on the historical land, I felt extremely proud. My friends and I took a photo shoot to celebrate the National Day at Muong Thanh bridge".
The bustling and joyful atmosphere of celebrating the Festival of Independence in the heroic land of Dien Bien is not only an opportunity to review the heroic history but also to educate generations about the tradition of patriotism.
