Talking to reporters, leaders of Bau Bang Commune People's Committee said that the locality is very excited about the above information. Previously, the Executive Committee of Bau Bang Commune Party Committee had met and agreed to propose not to merge commune-level administrative units, maintaining the current status of Bau Bang commune as it is today. At the same time, continue to prepare the conditions to implement the orientation of establishing Bau Bang ward when decided by competent authorities.
According to Bau Bang Commune People's Committee, the formation of a new administrative unit is not only a requirement to arrange the administrative apparatus according to the general policy but also an important step to unify development resources, expand urban space and form a new growth pole.
Currently, Bau Bang commune is gradually becoming a dynamic urban area in the North of Ho Chi Minh City with the orientation of developing industry - services - logistics associated with ecological urban areas and inter-regional transport infrastructure systems.

Bau Bang commune has a total natural area of 8,440 ha. Of which, agricultural land has an area of 5,167 ha, accounting for 61.22% of the natural area; non-agricultural land has an area of 3,272 ha, accounting for 38.78% of the natural area.
At the beginning of 2026, the population of Bau Bang commune is more than 54,000 people. Of which, temporary residents are over 37,000 people and permanent residents are 16,648 people. The total number of workers in the area is 20,206 people. Of which, non-agricultural workers are 19,495 people, accounting for 96.48%; agricultural workers are 711 people, accounting for 3.52%. Bau Bang's population structure is strongly shifting towards urbanization, with the proportion of non-agricultural workers accounting for the majority.

Along with the development process, the local economic structure has also shifted positively towards gradually reducing the proportion of agriculture, rapidly increasing the proportion of industry, construction, trade, and services. Notably, Bau Bang has an urban - industrial - service area of more than 2,000 hectares, of which industrial land is 1,000 hectares.
Bau Bang's economy is gradually forming a clear urban nature. The total budget revenue of the commune in 2025 is 439 billion VND.
The local administrative infrastructure system is inherited from the administrative center of Bau Bang district, former Binh Duong province. The headquarters of the Bau Bang commune administrative agency is built on a land area of 4,000 m2, meeting sufficient conditions to serve the administrative agency infrastructure of the commune.

Education, healthcare, and public infrastructure are also invested in and built methodically, meeting the development requirements of the locality.
Notably, the transport infrastructure of Bau Bang commune is invested relatively synchronously, quickly connecting regions and areas. Currently, there are key roads passing through the area such as National Highway 13, Tao Luc My Phuoc - Bau Bang road, Tao Luc Bau Bang - Phu Giao - Bac Tan Uyen road.
With rapid urbanization, economic and labor structures clearly shifting, and an increasingly complete infrastructure system, Bau Bang is taking important steps to prepare for the transformation from a commune to a ward in the near future.
