Adjust the capital demand for airport development to 485,472 billion VND

The Ministry of Construction issued a Master Plan for the development of airports and airports nationwide for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050.

On October 13, on the Ministry of Construction's Information Portal, it was announced that it approved the adjustment of the Master Plan for the development of the national airport system for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050.

According to the decision, the adjustment of the Master Plan for the development of the national airport system for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, was approved in Decision No. 1102/QD-BXD dated July 20, 2025 of the Minister of Construction with the following content:

Adjust the content on the scale, airport licensing and investment cost estimates according to the planning of Gia Binh International Airport in Clause 1, Article 1 of Decision No. 1102/QDBXD dated July 20, 2025. Accordingly, the scale and level of the airport is level 4F.

The estimated investment cost according to the planning is about 161,600 billion VND for the period 2021-2030, about 52,700 billion VND with a vision to 2050.

Adjust the demand for investment capital to develop the airport system by 2030 in Clause 4, Article 1 of Decision No. 1102/QD-BXD dated July 20, 2025 with the demand for investment capital to develop the airport system by 2030 of about VND 485,472 billion, mobilized from state budget capital, non-budgetary capital and other legal capital sources.

Other contents are kept unchanged according to Decision No. 648/QD-TTg dated June 7, 2023 of the Prime Minister and Decision No. 1102/QD-BXD dated July 20, 2025 of the Minister of Construction.

On the same day, the Ministry of Construction's Information Portal issued Decision No. 1737/QD-BXD approving the adjustment of the Gia Binh International Airport Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050.

According to the decision, the adjustment of the Gia Binh International Airport Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050 is approved with the following contents:

The planning goal for the period 2021-2030 is to grant an airport 4F (according to the standards code of the International Civil Aviation Organization. The capacity is about 30.0 million passengers/year and 1.6 million tons of goods/year.

The types of aircraft used are B747, B777, B787, A380, A350, A321 and other specialized and specialized aircraft.

Landing approach method according to CAT III standard for runway 07R/25L, CAT II standard for runway 06L/24R.

The vision by 2050 is to grant an airport 4F (according to ICAO's standard code). The capacity is about 50.0 million passengers/year and 2.5 million tons of goods/year.

Types of aircraft used: B747, B777, B787,res 380,res 350, A321 and other specialized and specialized aircraft.

Landing approach method according to CAT III standards for 04 runways 07L/25R, 07R/25L, 06L/24R and 06R/24L.

For the runway system, in the 2021-2030 period, the runway 07R/25L is planned in the Northern area with a size of 3,500 x45 m and the runway 06L/24R in the Southern area with a size of (4,000 x45 m, about 1,800 m from the runway 07R/25L; material beam size according to regulations.

Vision to 2050 is to plan the runway 07L/25R with a size of 3,500 x45 m, about 366 m to the North of the runway 07R/25L; plan the runway 06R/24L with a size of 3,650 x45 m, about 366 m to the South of the runway 06L/24R; size of the material trunk according to regulations...
