Lam Dong - The authorities are investigating and clarifying the cause of death of a man discovered in the forest.

On the morning of October 19, Mr. Hoang Van Tam - Chairman of the People's Committee of Dak Wil Commune (Lam Dong Province) - said that after receiving the report, the authorities have begun investigating to determine the cause of the victim's death.

According to initial information, the deceased was Mr. M.V.T. (born in 1959, residing in village 18, Dak Wil commune). Mr. T.'s body was discovered at 9:00 a.m. on October 18 in the edge of the forest, in sub-area 854, Dak Wil commune.

At the scene, the authorities recorded many traces of the step of a large animal, suspected to be a wild elephant.

Previously, on the afternoon of October 17, relatives reported to Dak Wil Commune Police that Mr. T. went missing while picking bamboo shoots in the forest and did not return. After receiving the information, the Commune Police coordinated with functional forces and people to organize the search. The next morning, Mr. T.'s body was discovered in the forest cover area.

The cause of the incident is being further investigated and clarified by the authorities.

Local authorities recommend that people should not go into the forest alone, especially in areas where wild elephants have been recorded appearing for food, to ensure safety of life.
