Investigating the case of a man who died after falling from a high floor of Phu Thanh apartment building

Ho Chi Minh City - Functional forces of Phu Thanh ward are urgently blockading the scene, extracting camera footage to investigate the cause of a man's death.

At noon on March 20, Phu Thanh Ward Police in coordination with relevant professional units were present at Phu Thanh apartment building (Thoai Ngoc Hau street, Phu Thanh ward) to examine the scene and investigate the case of a man dying in the common yard area.

According to initial information, at about 10 am on the same day, many residents living in the apartment building suddenly heard a loud noise coming from below. When checking, people discovered a man lying motionless on the ground and had died.

Through camera extraction and initial verification, functional agencies identified the victim as a male (born in 1987), residing in this apartment building. Camera images show that before the incident, this person moved from block A to block C, then climbed to the top area of the building (17th floor) and fell down.

Until after 12 noon, the scene was still strictly sealed off by functional forces to serve the investigation. The victim's body was then taken to the morgue to carry out relevant legal procedures.

Currently, the identity of the victim and the cause of the incident are being further clarified by the police agency.
