On March 17, according to information from Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee, the fire at the house of Mr. H.T. T, residing in An Loc Giong hamlet, Mo Cay commune, causing particularly serious consequences for people and property occurred on the morning of March 16.
The fire occurred at about 5:45 am, burning down the corrugated iron roof house, walls and many assets inside. As a result, 2 children in the family died, leaving great spiritual loss.
Immediately after the incident, the Provincial People's Committee requested local authorities to urgently organize visits, provide material and spiritual support, and create conditions for the victim's family to soon stabilize their lives after the painful event.
The Provincial Police are assigned to coordinate in examining the scene, investigating and clarifying the cause of the fire. At the same time, strengthen propaganda and dissemination of knowledge and skills in fire prevention, fighting and rescue for people.
The Provincial People's Committee also requested departments, branches, and localities to continue to strictly implement the directions of the Central Government and the province on fire prevention and fighting, especially focusing on inspecting establishments with high fire and explosion risks.
In addition, propaganda to raise people's awareness is identified as a key solution, helping to minimize damage caused by fire and explosion, and ensure the safety of life and property in the province.
