On January 4, in an exchange with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, a representative of the leadership of the Ho Citadel Heritage Management Board and key relics of Thanh Hoa province said that after receiving information and clips circulating on social networks related to the explanation of the Tay Son Dynasty at the Lam Kinh Special National Relic Area causing controversy, the unit has conducted verification, clarification and promptly handled and rectified the explanation activities at the relic.
Accordingly, the incident in the posted clip occurred around the summer of 2024, during a tour guide at the Main Hall area of Lam Kinh Special National Relic Site.
The person appearing in the clip is a guide at the relic site, under the Lam Kinh Historical Relic Management Board (now the Management Board of Ho Citadel and key relics of Thanh Hoa province). During the introduction, this guide introduced incorrectly according to the approved introduction content, leading to the unfortunate incident mentioned above.
After clearly verifying the case, the Ho Citadel Heritage Management Board and key relics of Thanh Hoa province decided to suspend the work of explaining for the tour guide in the clip. At the same time, the unit conducted comprehensive rectification of explaining and guiding activities at the relic.
In addition, the Management Board continues to organize serious reviews, clarify and handle the responsibilities of related individuals and organizations. This is also identified as a lesson that needs to be learned deeply and thoroughly in the professional work of the unit.

Previously, a clip recorded by tourists in the Lam Kinh Main Hall area was spread on social networks Facebook and TikTok. Notably, in the clip, the female tour guide when explaining the Lam Kinh Main Hall project mentioned Tay Son house, the content then caused much controversy and strong reactions on social networking platforms.
The Lam Kinh Special National Relic Site (also known as Lam Son), formerly belonging to the old Tho Xuan district, now belonging to Lam Son commune, Thanh Hoa province, is the hometown of national hero Le Loi, the origin of the Lam Son uprising to drive out the Minh invaders (1418-1428), and also a place to worship ancestors and eternal rest of Emperors and Empresses of the Later Le Dynasty.
In 1962, Lam Kinh historical relic was ranked as a national relic. On September 27, 2012, the Prime Minister issued a decision recognizing Lam Kinh historical, cultural, architectural and artistic relic as a special national relic.
