The North is experiencing a prolonged cold spell, the temperature has dropped deeply on a large scale. Early this morning, at about 6 am, the temperature at Fansipan peak (Sa Pa, Lao Cai) dropped to -2°C.
Strong cold air caused thick frost to appear, covering trees, walkways and many construction items on the top of the mountain. The entire "Indonesian roof" area is submerged in white, reflecting the harshness of this cold spell.

According to records, light snow fell on the top of Fansipan on December 18. From the beginning of December to now, this area has continuously experienced frost and ice, at times covering a wide area.
In the early days of the new year, Fansipan wears a layer of clear ice, sparkling under the morning light, creating a scene that is both majestic and poetic.
From early this morning, the ice is thick, clinging to the canopy, railings, stone roofs and steps around the spiritual complex, the misty dew blends with the mountain wind.

According to forecasts, cold air will continue to be strengthened, and frost may appear in the coming days.
However, functional agencies recommend that people and tourists should proactively keep warm and comply with safety instructions when traveling and visiting in harsh weather conditions.
