Faced with prolonged heavy rain and increased risk of landslides, functional forces of Do Son ward directly went to key areas, reviewed and mobilized households to proactively move to safe places, focusing on areas with hilly and steep terrain belonging to Quyet Tien, Van Huong, Ngoc Xuyen, Van Son residential groups.
The government focused on mobilizing 13 households in Van Huong residential group and 45 households in Quyet Tien residential group to move on the spot to more solid and safer houses.
According to forecasts, from the afternoon of August 23 to the end of August 24, the Do Son area will continue to have moderate to heavy rain, with very heavy rain in some places; common rainfall of 60-120 mm, locally over 200 mm, high risk of landslides in the steep terrain area. Do Son Ward requests people to absolutely not be subjective, proactively move out of landslide-prone areas and seriously comply with the instructions of functional forces, ensuring the safety of life and property.

According to the warning of Hai Phong City Hydrometeorological Station, in the past 24 hours, the city has had moderate rain, heavy rain, and very heavy rain in some places. Notably, Cat Ba area recorded a rainfall of 222.2 mm; many other areas have rainfall from 70-114 mm. The soil moisture model shows that some areas in the city are almost saturated, with some places reaching saturation.
In the next 6 hours, Hai Phong will continue to have rain, with common rainfall from 20-40 mm, in some places higher. The meteorological agency warns of the risk of landslides on the mountainside in the Cat Hai Special Zone, Phu Lien Ward, Do Son Ward, Nam Do Son Ward, and Kien An Ward.
