The incident of a cycling group running a red light was recorded by a car's dashcam in the section passing through Chanh Hiep ward, Ho Chi Minh City.
In the clip, a group of bicyclists of about 20 people were traveling at around 5am on August 5 on My Phuoc - Tan Van road, from Chanh Hiep ward to Thu Dau Mot ward, Ho Chi Minh City.
When reaching the intersection with DX 082, the traffic light turned red. However, instead of stopping, the bicycle convoy continued to rush quickly, crossing the intersection despite the red light signal. Some vehicles even entered the car lane.
This behavior made many people involved in traffic upset and worried. Running a red light not only violates traffic laws but also poses a potential risk of causing accidents for other vehicles.

According to records, in the old Binh Duong area, the routes in the early morning are often spacious and airy, attracting many sports bicycle groups to travel, especially on routes such as My Phuoc - Tan Van, Pham Ngoc Thach, Hung Vuong. Previously, there have been incidents of bicycles encroaching on lanes and running red lights, leading to accidents. The Traffic Police have also stepped in to handle the situation, but it is still recurring.
