Over the past time, officers and soldiers of Team K90, Political Department of Military Region 9 have focused on thoroughly grasping and strictly implementing the plan to search, repatriate, and repatriate the remains of volunteer soldiers and Vietnamese experts who sacrificed in the wars in Cambodia, phase 26 (dry season 2026-2027).
After more than 2 weeks of task deployment, Team K90 coordinated with functional forces of the friendly country to survey, collect information, verify and exhume martyrs' remains at 8 locations in 7 communes of Khsach Kandal district, Kandal province and Kampong Tralach district, Kampong Chhnang province.

With determination and high sense of responsibility, the unit has searched and collected 10 sets of martyrs' remains; of which, 8 sets of martyrs' remains were collected in Kandal province and 2 sets of martyrs' remains in Kampong Chhnang province.
Senior Lieutenant Colonel La Phu Huy - Team Leader of Team K90 said that, implementing the plan of the 515th Military Region Steering Committee, the unit is urgently completing all preparations, especially the review and grasp of information on martyrs' graves in Cambodia; arranging forces and vehicles to search for and repatriate martyrs' remains in the dry season of 2026-2027.

Currently, the weather in Cambodia is rainy. Therefore, we are deploying excavations in hilly and high-lying areas. Officers and soldiers are always proactive in overcoming all difficulties and always maintain their determination to successfully complete the "Operation 500 Days and Nights" target. Specifically, from the beginning of the 2026-2027 dry season to now, the unit has searched and collected 23 sets of remains of martyrs in the country and in Cambodia," Team Leader of Team K90 shared.
Team K90 hopes to receive attention from veterans and historical witnesses to provide more information about martyrs and martyrs' graves in Kandal and Kampong Chhnang provinces.
Information sources such as the place of sacrifice, initial burial location, battle, combat unit of the martyr... are important bases to help the unit review, zone off and effectively deploy the search and repatriation of martyrs' remains in the coming time.
