The Can Tho City (TP) e-Portal updates information that the City People's Committee (UBND) has issued a decision approving the Project to support people with meritorious services to the revolution and relatives of martyrs in housing in the city, with a total implementation cost of more than 35 billion VND.
According to the Project, Can Tho supports housing for 503 households that have been assessed as eligible as people with meritorious services to the revolution and relatives of martyrs, of which 204 households are newly built and 299 households are repairing houses.
The support level for new construction cases is 100 million VND/household; cases of renovation and repair of houses are supported with 50 million VND/household.
In addition to support according to the Project, households can mobilize additional resources from family, clan and community to improve quality, ensuring that houses are built and repaired spaciously and safely.
The total cost of implementing the Project is more than 35.35 billion VND. In which, the City's "For the Poor" Fund supports 11 households of people with meritorious services and relatives of martyrs who are poor and near-poor households, including 6 newly built households and 5 repaired households, with a cost of 850 million VND.
Local budget sources, the City "Gratitude" Fund and social mobilization sources supported 492 households, including 198 newly built households and 294 repaired households, with a total budget of 34.5 billion VND.
Regarding housing quality, the People's Committees of communes and wards research and use typical housing designs for people with meritorious services to the revolution in the city issued by the Department of Construction to guide households to refer to and choose.
