In 3 years, the People's Public Security Trade Union has supported union members and workers to repair 51 houses and build 42 new houses with a total support cost of more than 6 billion VND.
"This result is not only material support, but also a great source of spiritual encouragement, helping union members in difficulty stabilize their lives, thereby increasing trust and attachment to the unit and the Trade Union organization" - Lieutenant Colonel Cong Thanh Thao said.
Improving the quality of shift meals
According to the CAND Trade Union, for the business sector, the quality of " overtime meals" has been closely monitored, strictly implementing Resolution 07c/NQ-BCH of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. As a result, the business sector has implemented shift meals from 22,000 VND/person to 52,000 VND/person - directly contributing to health protection, maintaining working capacity and demonstrating the unit's respect for employees, creating motivation and confidence for union members to overcome all difficulties and strive to improve their lives.
Talking to reporters, Lieutenant Colonel Tran Xuan Lam - Head of the Trade Union Department of the Security Industry Department (H08) - said that the H08 Trade Union currently has nearly 2,400 union members.
Clearly identifying that the quality of shift meals plays a decisive role in ensuring nutrition and health to improve labor productivity of employees... H08 Trade Union has directed its affiliated units to actively monitor employees' shift meals.
With 21 collective kitchens in grassroots units stationed in 3 regions of the North - Central - South, the kitchens serve over 2,300 cadres, union members, and employees every day, so the work of preparing shift meals for employees is always of interest to the unit's Board of Directors and the Executive Board of the grassroots trade unions of the units.
In particular, grassroots trade unions regularly organize inspections and supervision of the origin, norms, quantity, and quality of input food... The kitchen staff and kitchen service processing staff are all trained in skills, and food hygiene and safety, strictly following the processing process, from food import, processing to service stages.
During the term (2023 - 2025), trade unions at all levels in Department H08 organized 12 monitoring and inspections of the quality of shift meals and food safety work in collective kitchens. The inspection results of 100% of the collective kitchens were inspected and ensured food hygiene and safety, and the quality of nutrition for shift meals. 100% of units under the H08 Department Trade Union have the lowest shift meal allowance for employees of VND28,000 or more - exceeding the allowance set by the General Confederation of Labor" - Lieutenant Colonel Tran Xuan Lam shared.
