On February 28, Hanoi City Police launched the Road Motor Vehicle Driving License Appraisal and Issuation Team under the Traffic Police Department - Hanoi City Police after receiving the task of training and issuing driving licenses from the Hanoi Department of Transport.
Starting from March 1, the task of organizing the test, issuing car driving licenses; receiving documents for changing and reissuing driving licenses, issuing international driving licenses... will be assigned to the Road Motor Driving Test and License Team (Traffic Police Department, Hanoi City Police).
Directing the assignment of tasks, Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Quyen - Deputy Director of Hanoi City Police emphasized that the Hanoi Traffic Police force needs to quickly approach and immediately start performing assigned tasks; deploy professional work scientifically and effectively to ensure that driving test and license issuance work is carried out continuously, without interruption, and does not affect the normal operations of people and businesses.
At the same time, it is necessary to promote the guidance of people on the application of information technology, digitalization, and administrative procedure reform to create the most favorable conditions for people at home and abroad.
Along with that, strengthen personnel management and political and ideological education. Strictly implement the campaign "Studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh - People's Public Security for the country, forgetting oneself, serving the people"; always ensure fairness and transparency in the process of testing and issuing driving licenses; absolutely do not cause trouble or harassment to the people.
In response to the direction, the Command Committee of the Hanoi Traffic Police Department, together with the unit's officers and soldiers in general and the Road Traffic Driving License Assessment and Assessment Team in particular, affirmed that they will focus highly on synchronously implementing measures and solutions to improve the effectiveness of road vehicle testing and licensing.
The transfer of the state management function of driving test testing and issuance of driver's licenses from the Ministry of Transport to the Ministry of Public Security is an important step, in order to continue to improve the effectiveness of state management in the field of road traffic, contributing to ensuring traffic safety and social order.
Although the time to prepare for the transfer is not long, the preparation of human resources, facilities, and equipment is ready.
