According to the reporter's records, from early morning on March 1, many people have gone to driving license renewal points (GPLX) in Ho Chi Minh City to carry out administrative procedures.
At the GPLX renewal receiving point on Ly Chinh Thang Street (Ward 9, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City), police officers and soldiers actively support and guide people in renewing and issuing licenses. This work went smoothly, without too many people. The steps of receiving documents and handling procedures are carried out quickly.

Accordingly, the fee for changing and reissuing driving licenses for each citizen is 135,000 VND, implemented according to Circular 37/2023 of the Ministry of Finance.
Mr. Nguyen Van Hung (District 6) shared: "After reading the information in the newspaper, in the early morning of March 1, I went to submit my application for a change of driving license on Ly Chinh Thang Street. Even though I woke up at 5:30 to prepare, I couldn't help but be surprised when I arrived without having to jostle or wait as long as I thought. The staff here are enthusiastically guiding, and all procedures are handled quickly".

Many people also said that the current work of granting and exchanging driving licenses has been carried out more quickly and professionally. Mr. Thanh Chien (residing in Tan Binh District) shared: "It is reasonable for the police to receive and exchange driving licenses. All work has been well organized, with much more methodization".
To prepare for the new assignment, officers and soldiers of Ho Chi Minh City Police have previously participated in training courses, equipped with professional knowledge on testing and granting driving licenses. According to the representative of the Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police (PC08), officers and soldiers were required to strictly implement regulations, and actively participate in exchanging opinions to improve the issuance and exchange of driving licenses, better serving the people.
From March 1, Ho Chi Minh City Police received testing and reissuance of driving licenses throughout the city. The receiving points include: headquarters at 252 Ly Chinh Thang, Ward 9, District 3; No. 8 Nguyen Anh Thu, Trung My Tay Ward, District 12; and No. 111 Tan Son Nhi, Tan Son Nhi Ward, Tan Phu District.
Ho Chi Minh City Police coordinate with the Department of Transport to continue to conduct testing, granting, and managing driving licenses to ensure uninterrupted service to people and organizations when required.Administrative procedures for granting and exchanging driving licenses will not change when transferring between the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Public Security.People can completely complete the normal procedures for granting and exchanging driving licenses as at the current direct reception points or through the national public service portal.
To facilitate people in changing and reissuing driving licenses, saving time, travel and waiting costs, Ho Chi Minh City Police will arrange 22 more locations at the police of 17 wards of districts and cities in Thu Duc City that are registering motorbikes and the police of 5 central communes of Binh Chanh, Can Gio, Cu Chi, Hoc Mon, Nha Be districts (Cu Chi town police, Hoc Mon town police, Tan Tuc town, Phu Xuan commune, Can Thanh town).
