In 2026, Dien Bien province has 1,246 citizens enlisting, of which 850 people participate in military service and 396 people are selected for the People's Police service.
At the troop receiving point No. 4 (Defense Command Area 4 - Muong Ang), there are 446 citizens enlisting, including 280 people who passed the military service selection, and 166 people participating in the People's Police service.




Ms. Lo Thi Panh (Thai ethnicity, Quai To commune, Dien Bien) said that her family went from home to the troop receiving point from 5:30 am.
The whole family encourages and hopes that my child will complete all assigned tasks well," Ms. Lanh said.
Sharing that pride, new recruit Lo Van Tan (born 2006, Quai To commune) participating in the People's Police service also expressed high determination, ready to train, not afraid of hardships.
Although he graduated with a major in Mechanical Engineering - Hung Yen University of Technology and Education, new recruit Lai Huy Hieu (born 2001, Tuan Giao commune) decided to write a voluntary application to participate in military service.


Since I was little, I have dreamed of wearing the green uniform. After graduating from university, I realized that this is the right time to fulfill my responsibility to the country. Later, I want to continue to contribute my learned expertise to build my homeland and country" - new recruit Lai Huy Hieu said.




Attending and encouraging new recruits at the 4th Regional Defense Command - Muong Ang, Lieutenant General Dang Hong Duc - Deputy Minister of Public Security acknowledged and highly appreciated the leadership and direction of Dien Bien province in the 2026 military recruitment work.
Lieutenant General Dang Hong Duc praised the enthusiastic spirit, willingness to put aside personal plans of the new recruits to set off for duty.




Deputy Minister Dang Hong Duc wished that, with youth and enthusiasm, the new recruits would quickly integrate into a disciplined environment, overcome challenges, and constantly cultivate themselves to become "Uncle Ho's Soldiers", Vietnamese People's Police soldiers.
The Deputy Minister of Public Security also requested that recruiting units must uphold the spirit of responsibility, consider new recruits as family members, and take good care of both material and spiritual life.
